At a master class this summer we all had a blast.
We had a trio of experts that taught us lessons that will last.
They took us where we were and showed us where we could be
Our level of improvement was impressive to see.
The sound of 18 flutes could cut the tuscan summer heat
The baby birds chirped along but they could never compete
We learned so much in class that at times we couldn’t think
But we energized with great food and ample wine to drink
Al fresco dining was beautiful despite the occasional mosquito
We shared our cultures cracked some jokes and ribbed our dear Sergito
We were giddy from the wine and rapped songs, (at least we tried).
The card games were wild, laughter flowed, people cried
We apologize again for being rowdy, to our hosts
It was a long week for Veronica, the dogs, even the ghosts!
We learned to whistle from our chin, and rode a zip line chair
The Platypus was our mascot , our human tricks made people stare
It was great to play ensembles music from different style
Our performance in the restaurant left the customers with smiles
It was time for good bye, we thanked our hosts , exchanged information
This masterclass was a lot more than just flute education.
